A graduate of Fordham University in New York City, she studied Theater and International Business with an emphasis on Humanitarian Affairs. Following her graduation from Fordham, she became a consultant at the United Nations World Food Programme, while continuing her acting studies at The Stella Adler Conservatory in New York City and classically training in voice. Jazmin's love for music was showcased in a self produced cabaret-style concert, Fall in Love With Jaz. Backed by her four-piece band, she performed soulful takes on musical standards inspired by Sia and Queen.
Jazmin is a recording artist. She released her debut acoustic single "Fearless" on 9/30/19, proceeds for this single go towards her charity, The Jazmin Fund. To follow, she released her debut pop single "Fearless" and female empowerment music video on 10/18/19 in NYC.
Jazmin's hope is to marry her passions for humanitarianism and the arts. At the ripe age of 14, she founded, The Jazmin Fund, an ongoing philanthropic project focused on a humanitarian mission to help bring the local community and children of Fiji, much needed assistance in education,
medicine, and community development. In November 2006, she visited eight islands bringing basic classroom and medical supplies to the Fijian villages.
Jazmin returned to Fiji in September of 2018, with The Jazmin Fund, to open the first ‘art focused’ community hall in Naidi Village (Vanua Levu, Fiji). Naidi village was devastated by the Cyclone in 2016 and prior to that had been waiting for a new community hall for seven years. The Jazmin Fund partnered with Caukin Studio, a volunteer architectural company who designed and built the structure along-side Naqaqa Giving Foundation (NGF). They used threaded rod, cyclone strapping and nail plates to reinforce all structural junctions, which aid in strengthening the building to protect against cyclone damage in future cyclones. The hall was longlisted for the prestigious Dezeen Awards 2019 in the small building category for architecture. The hall is now used for weekly reading sessions, women meetings, local arts and crafts, concerts, dance performances and kindergarten classes. Jazmin also hosted, performed, and started the first Naidi Village concert in the new community hall.
After the success of this project, The Jazmin Fund hopes to help rehabilitate other parts of Fiji that have been devastated and turn to other coastal areas of the world in need. Jazmin is an advocate for other causes close to her heart. She is an ambassador for the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation- 100 million Campaign to end child labor. She is also a member of the RFK Young Leadership Council and will be this years judge for the RFK Human Rights video and music contest.
In March of 2018, Jazmin and Kiera Chaplin spent two weeks driving across the Sahara Desert without the use of GPS or technology in an all-female off road car rallye, Rallye Aïcha Des Gazelles du Maroc, to raise awareness for her charity, The Jazmin Fund and her Father’s foundation, The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Jazmin and her navigating partner Kiera placed 3rd in the competition under the first electric car category advocating for environmental conservation and sustainability. The Rallye is socially conscience, proud to be the only motorsport event in the world with ISO 14001:2015 certification, guaranteeing that MAIENGA has implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) aimed at systematically integrating the environment into its management and actions. The performance is not based on speed. So, the CO2 emissions are lower than those of a traditional rallye.
In October 2019, Jazmin and Kiera participated in the first Rallye Aicha des Gazelles China in Inner Mongolia to mark the Gazelle Morocco rallye’s 30th year in operation. Jazmin represented Monaco and her Father's Foundation, The Prince Albert II of Monaco by driving an electric car for the rallye promoting sustainability, climate action, female empowerment and her charity, The Jazmin Fund.
